The National Clubs Carnival stands as one of Australia's top gymnastics competitions, creating a splendid platform for young gymnasts to perform their routines on a national stage. Skylark Sports proudly sent its largest-ever team, 39 athletes forming 16 partnerships, to compete on the sunny Gold Coast from September 19th to 22nd. For these dedicated young athletes, the golden beaches and Queensland skies took a backseat to their unwavering commitment to Skylark's values and their relentless pursuit of excellence.
Dedication and Preparation: Striving for Progress, Not Perfection
In the spirit of Skylark's core value, "Strive for progress, not perfection," Skylark Sports Acrobats honed their routines with meticulous attention to detail. Their journey was about improvement and progress, not perfection. Every aspect of their performance, from mental readiness to physical fitness, showed incredible growth since their last competition. These young athletes displayed unwavering dedication to their sport, staying true to Skylark's values, and working closely as a team to get their routines competition ready. They trained tirelessly, often up to 5 times a week, at the Mount Waverley Skylark Sports facility, ensuring they were in peak condition for the competition.
