Finding the Right Gymnastics Program for Your Child: A Step-by-Step Guide to Choosing the Perfect Class at Skylark Sports

If you're considering enrolling your child in a gymnastics program at Skylark Sports, you may be wondering how to choose the right class. With so many options available, it can be overwhelming to decide which program is the best fit for your child. Here, we'll provide you with a step-by-step guide to help you choose the perfect gymnastics class for your child.

Step 1: Determine Your Child's Goals

The first step in choosing the right gymnastics program for your child is to determine their goals. Are they interested in learning new skills and improving their physical fitness? Do they enjoy being part of a group and making new friends? Are they preparing for a future in competitive sport? Whatever their goals may be, Skylark offers a variety of classes to meet their needs.

If your child is new to gymnastics or just wants to have fun while learning new skills, our educational classes may be the perfect fit. These classes focus on building fundamental skills in a fun and supportive environment, without the pressure of competition.

Step 2: Consider Your Child's Age and Skill Level

Another important factor to consider when choosing a gymnastics program for your child is their age and skill level. At Skylark, we offer classes for children as young as 12 months old. It's important to choose a program that is appropriate for your child's age and skill level to ensure that they're getting the most out of their training and avoiding injury.

For younger children, our preschool and parent-child classes are a great place to start. These classes focus on building coordination, balance, and basic gymnastics skills in a fun and engaging way. As your child progresses, they can move on to our beginner and intermediate Ninja, Gymnastics and Acrobatics classes, where they'll continue to build on their skills and develop new ones.

Step 3: Think About Your Schedule

When choosing a program for your child, it's also important to consider your schedule. We offer classes throughout the week, including afternoons and weekends, to accommodate a variety of schedules.
Mount Waverley is open 7 days, Lynbrook 5 days (Tuesday to Saturday).
Make sure to choose a class that fits into your schedule to ensure that your child can attend regularly and make progress towards their goals.
