Hi! I'm Annabel, 

I'm the Staff Education Manger at Skylark Sports. I interview and develop our next generation of coaches. 
 
I come from a teaching background. I trained for 4 years in the UK as a Secondary PE teacher majoring in Dance and Outdoor Education and taught for 3 years in a school as the head of the Dance department as well as assist head of the PE department. This experience in facilitating learning to classes of 30-40 kids helps me to pass on my knowledge to our younger coaches in how to encourage a student centred teaching approach 
 
My gymnastics journey started when I was 6 years old. I was a competitive gymnast from 13 years of age until I retired to focus on teaching at 21. 
 
Family wise I'm married and have a beautiful daughter who also loves gymnastics, maybe even more than me, and is part of the kindergym program at Skylark Sports. 
 
On my days off (when I'm not chasing after my daughter) you’ll find me either in a Les Mills class or two, hiking in nature, gardening or doing some DIY around the house. 

My favourite thing about being part of the Skylark family is helping students overcome their fears of not being able to do a drill or skill.
